Working principle of WEDM fluid:




The basic working principle of WEDM is to clean the workpiece with moving electrode. WEDM is mainly used to process all kinds of complicated and precise workpieces. For example, WEDM can process punch, female die, punch and die, fixed plate and discharge plate of blanking die. Forming cutter, template and WEDM can also process all kinds of micro holes, narrow slots, arbitrary curves, etc. WEDM has many incomparable advantages, such as small machining allowance, linear cutting, etc Cutting has the advantages of high machining accuracy, short production cycle and low manufacturing cost. Wire cutting has been widely used in production. The following conditions are necessary for WEDM to work normally




1. There must be a certain gap between the molybdenum wire and the machined surface of the workpiece. The width of the gap depends on the working voltage, processing capacity and other processing conditions.




2. During WEDM machining, it must be carried out in the liquid medium with certain insulation performance, such as kerosene, saponified oil, deionized water, etc. the requirement of high insulation is to facilitate the generation of pulsed spark discharge. The liquid medium also has the function of removing the corrosion products in the gap and cooling the electrode. There is a certain gap between the molybdenum wire and the machined surface of the workpiece. If the gap is too large, the voltage between the electrodes cannot break through the dielectric between the electrodes, then the electric spark discharge can not be generated; if the gap is too small, it is easy to form a short-circuit connection and can not produce electric spark discharge.




3. Pulse power supply must be used, that is, spark discharge must be pulsed and intermittent. The dielectric breakdown can be eliminated in the next pulse interval.
